Here we are in August already. It has been unbearably hot and humid in Savannah. It reminds me of the summer when I was pregnant with my daughter. Open the door and receive a blast of air like an oven. Lots of severe storms, too.
I hope this post will “blast” you with some helpful tips and information.
S - Scripture
Life is hard. It’s tough. And it’s not fair.
Life seems to be tearing so many of us apart inside. Somehow, we must learn that our God is enough for all our needs. I know in my own life, that God’s graces are the only thing that has brought me through. In recent years, I have been fighting auto-immune diseases that are causing me great pain. But through it all, God’s graces have been enough for me. Read this devotional I wrote a while back.

It’s always nice to find a nice place to relax. If you can’t get out, or it’s just too hot. Try the Nature Relaxation Videos. Here’s one of the beautiful Norway. These cool pictures might at least make you think it’s cooler. :)

G - Good Reads
Samantha Moss has a rare chronic disease but has been amazing at encouraging everyone she knows. She has an awesome forum on Facebook called Medical Musings with Friends. She recently shared an article she wrote for The Mighty, another great place for information. About how to enjoy your birthday when you have a rare disease. It applies to anyone with any chronic illness. Click the button to read.
S - Summits
Thankfully, these days there is more information out there about fibromyalgia and chronic pain. It’s just a matter of finding them. A year or so ago, I found “Dr. Talks”. AND THEY ARE FREE if you watch them live! They have summits on various illnesses and things they have found that work. This month, they have one on Inflammation.
Thanks for stopping by. Are you enjoying these Soft hugs? Please leave a comment. If you have suggestions and tips to share. I would love to pass them on.
