I sure hope you are having a great day. Mine is going pretty well. As you probably know my husband is fighting pancreatic cancer. He has finished his chemotherapy but now it’s on to radiation therapy. Chemo has a cumulative effect on a person so he still feels pretty lousy. You can stay up-to-date with his journey at Caring Bridge.
I wanted to remind you that tomorrow, on September 14th at 10am PDT, the Diamonds Conference is hosting a FREE Live Panel Discussion on Finding (And Keeping) A Friend Who Understands Chronic Illness and a live Q&A with Sara Willoughby and the Diamonds Community Team.
I’m going to try to be there. Come, join me.
UPDATES On Writing
Holly the Holstein’s Farm Friends - Is in the formatting stage.
We hope the paperback and e-book will be available by Thanksgiving.
**Holly the Holstein's Farm Friends** is the second delightful installment in the “Reader’s Favorite”, Holly the Holstein series. In this engaging book, Holly introduces young readers to a vibrant world of farm animals. Discover what each animal is called, what their babies are named, and the sounds they make!
As you turn the pages, you'll uncover fascinating facts about each farm animal—some might even surprise you! Holly will also ask fun questions throughout the book, encouraging interactive learning.
This book isn’t just a read-aloud; it’s a chance for meaningful conversations with parents and teachers about family roles, personal habits, and more. Plus, it comes with a comprehensive teacher’s guide featuring a week’s worth of farm-themed lessons across various subjects.
**Holly the Holstein's Farm Friends** is designed to grow with your child. For younger readers, enjoy the engaging stories and illustrations on the left pages. For older or more curious kids, explore the fun facts on the right pages that provide even more exciting information.
Soft Hugs for Mommy - Hardback version
- is formatted and in the tweaking stage. I just reviewed the first proof this morning! I’m so excited because this will allow retail stores and libraries the opportunity to purchase.
Book Signings and Vendor Booths
I have suddenly been given three opportunities to have a vendor booth. Two of these will be at Trunk-or-Treat events in my neighborhood. The third is at a ladies’ retreat.
The catch is I need to pay vendor fees and purchase books and prizes to have on hand. And I need $$ to do that. Here’s how I thought YOU might help me out.
My Etsy Shop - I have books and merchandise available for sale. There are t-shirts, puzzles, and more. (Cow-themed, fall-themed, and hopefully, soft hug stuff coming soon.)
I also have the above-mentioned books available for Advanced Purchase with an extra $10 added.
You will be entered in a drawing for a beanie baby.
Each purchase comes with a signed book and another gift. (Should receive by Thanksgiving)
Purchase items you need at Amazon where I am an affiliate.
If you don’t want to buy anything but want to donate to the cause, contact me personally.
Blessings and Soft Hugs;
Mandy
